adicionales yo-irregulares
Estos verbos significan saber, pero tienen usos muy
diferentes.
Primero, observe sus formas y no la forma irregular
"yo" en sus conjugaciones.
"Saber" significa conocer hechos,
información y "saber cómo hacer" las cosas. Es decir, describe el
tipo de conocimiento que uno aprende, como una información y las habilidades
que se pueden demostrar.
- Sé dónde vive Inés-I know where Inés lives
- Ella sabe tocar el piano-She knows how to play the piano
Tenga en cuenta que cuando ‘saber’ significa ‘saber
cómo’ va seguido de infinitivo
- Sé bailar salsa - Sé bailar salsa
Conocer significa "saber" en el sentido de
estar familiarizado o familiarizado con personas, lugares o cosas. También
significa "encontrarse" por primera vez.
- Conozco a Carmen – I know Carmen
- Ella conoce bien la ciudad de Madrid - She know the city of Madrid well
- Quiero conocer a Shakira – I want to meet Shakira
- ¿Conoce usted la poesía? – Are you familiar with poetry?
Observe la diferencia entre estas dos oraciones:
- Sé quién es el profesor García - I know who teacher García is
- Conozco al profesor García – I know Teacher García.

yo-irregular verbs
‘Saber’ and ‘conocer’
These verbs both mean to know, but have very different
uses. First, observe their forms and not the irregular ‘yo’ form in their
conjugations.
‘Saber’ means to know facts, information, and ‘to know
how to do’ things.
That is, it describes the kind of knowledge that one learns,
such as a piece of information, and skills that can be demonstrated
- Sé dónde vive Inés-I know where Inés lives
- Ella sabe tocar el piano-She knows how to play the piano
Notice that when ‘saber’ means ‘to know how to’ it is
followed by and infinitive
- Sé bailar salsa – I know how to dance salsa
Conocer means ‘to know’ in the sense of being
acquainted or familiar with persons, places, or things. It also means ‘to meet’
for the first time.
- Conozco a Carmen – I know Carmen
- Ella conoce bien la ciudad de Madrid - She know the city of Madrid well
- Quiero concoer a Shakira – I want to meet Shakira
- ¿Conoce usted la poesía? – Are you familiar with poetry?
Notice the difference between these two sentences:
- Sé quién es el profesor García - I know who teacher García is
- Conozco al profesor García – I know Teacher García.
