Verbos regulares –er y –ir

Observe las formas de ‘comer’ y 'vivir' en tiempo presente.

Tenga en cuenta que quitamos –er / -ir del infinitivo y lo reemplazamos con terminaciones para que concuerde con el tema del verbo. Tenga en cuenta también que los verbos –er y –ir tienen terminaciones idénticas, excepto las formas "nosotros" y "vosotros".

‘Hacer’ y ‘salir’ son irregulares solo en la forma "yo".

hacer	hago, haces, hace, hacemos, hacéis, hacen
salir	salgo, sales, sale, salimos, salís, salen

Observe the forms for ‘comer’ (to eat) and ‘vivir’ (to live) in the present tense.

Note that you drop the –er/-ir from the infinitive and replace it with endings to agree with the subject of the verb. Note also, that –er and –ir verbs have identical endings except the ‘nosotros’ and ‘vosotros’ forms.

Hacer (to do, make) and salir (to leave, go out) are irregular only in the ‘yo’ form.
